Frequently Asked Questions

What services does frontline drones offer?

We are a aerial photography organization. We do not repair/refurbish drones. We provide high quality (up to 4K) images and video.

What is the quickest and easiest way to book a photo shoot?

The fastest and easiest way to schedule your free consultation is to complete our online new customer form by selecting a package on our pricing page.  Once we receive the form, we will contact you.

How far in advance do I need to schedule my photo shoot?

We ask for at least a two-week advance notice so we can schedule the shoot in optimal weather conditions. If your situation does not allow this much time, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule in every situation.

How will the drone photographer know my personal photography preferences?

Frontline Drones provide free consultations where we discuss the entire project.  Meetings may be held in person, via Zoom, Facetime, or Skype.

What happens if Frontline Drones reschedules due to weather?

If weather conditions are not favorable for drone operations, i.e., rain, visibility, excessive winds, or other factors, Frontline will reschedule the next available day free of charge.

What happens if the customer postpones or reschedules the appointment?

We ask that you give us as much notice as possible. We understand that things come up and that appointments need to be flexible. However, we do charge a $50 rescheduling fee if the appointment is postponed, canceled, or rescheduled on the day of the scheduled appointment.

Are there limitations where you can operate a drone?

Per FAA 107 regulations, drones are limited to 400 feet AGL (above ground level) but can be withing 400 feet of a structure to inspect. Airspace near sensitive areas such as airports or powerplants are restricted to drone operations.

We will discuss the need for special approval during the consultation. Based on the location, permission may be granted immediately, or a written request (waiver) would need to be submitted. Turnaround time on waivers varies. Frontline Drone pilots are FAA certified to operate drones per FAA 107 regulations and will take care of all the details.

What is Frontline Drone’s turnaround time?

Turnaround time depends on the project. A photo package will be delivered within 24-48 hours following the completion of the shoot.  Videos require between 3-5 days depending on the size/complexity desired.  Delivery dates will be determined during the consultation.

What image size and video formats do you deliver?

All photos and videos are professionally color corrected and edited.  Photos are delivered in a 16:9 Aspect Ratio, but custom Aspect Ratios are available (3:2, 4:3).  Video can be delivered in several resolutions, (standard 1080p HD thru 4K UHD). During initial consultation, Frontline Drones will discuss the options best suited for your project.
